I haven’t met her yet, haven’t really commented on her site…I just like to stalk.

Anyway, she has a good post about the perils of selfhosting. (at the end she references this tutorial at I Blame Her which makes the process easy for a Dummy like me)

I am taking the self hosting plunge and she scared me. That is okay, I am great at pretending that I know what I am doing.

Casey got some comment love from her host, LiquidWeb, after she mentioned their customer service. Goodness, LiquidWeb is a good host. Who takes the time to write a thank you these days? I don’t think Emily Post says web hosts should do so upon mention. Her post and their good etiquette helped me weed through the 10,000 webhost options out there. LiquidWeb it is.

A few days ago, in yet another demonstration of just how uncool I am, I bought Wordpress for Dummies.

I know, I am lame. I need hardcopy reference material.

I get lost for hours online and if I rely on the web based tutorials, nothing will actually happen. Insert book.

I have nothing against the book. Wordpress recommends it for godsake. It bugs me because I used to be on the cusp of these things, I used to be able to figure it out. Now, I need a Dummies book. Ugh.

Is there a How to Sleep at Night for Babies Toddlers who Refuse to Sleep Through the Night? I am happy to read it to her at bed time.
